Topic:                          SETI and Radio Astronomy in the 21st Century
When/Where:          6:00pm, Saturday, May 10,  CSM Planetarium
Dr. Backus at the Arecibo Observatory,  Puerto Rico
Dr Backus: "The new generation of radio telescopes will consist of many smaller antennas combined by computers to form more sensitive and capable systems for astronomy and the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI)."  At this presentation, learn about SETI and the state of the art technology it is using in its search for extraterrestrial intelligence.
